Dear Mom,

Today, I was in class and my lips were really dry. I was getting ready to reach into my purse to grab my chap stick, when suddenly the teacher called my name to go present my project in front of the class. By the way, I got an A! Then after class, I was talking to my friend Kasey about our favorite chap sticks and as you know, my absolute favorite is the pink Baby Lips, which I can never ever have to many of. Then later that day, after looking in my purse for 5 minutes, my phone started ringing and it was work wanting me to pick up an extra shift. So I ended up going to work and forgetting all about what I was looking in my purse for. So mom, I was wondering if you were going to Walmart anytime soon, can you go down the chap stick isle for me? :)

Atmosphere, Action, or Supernatural???

Out of the three elements I believe atmosphere is the most effective. I believe this because if a book or movie is classified as "scary", it has to have an eerie setting which makes everything that happens in the scene more intense. An example where atmosphere is the most effective element in Frankenstein, is when Robert Walton describes the feeling of the sea, the fog, the eeriness and how he feels about the horrid ice ahead.  Then suddenly this strange figure appeared out of no where.  Without the set up of the scene you wouldn't have the same picture of fear.  You wouldn't relate with his description of these characters without the type of atmosphere you were set up with.

Mary Shelley

Mary Shelley's opening to the novel Frankenstein was very different than the usual books. Shelley formatted the beginning of this novel into letters from the main character Robert Walton, to his sister in England. She started by allowing the reader to get a background view of the main characters and relating their stories to the ancient mariner's story. I believe this is a very effective way to start a ghost story and I would too. I think this because giving your reader the correct background information for later purposes is a good technique while writing.

If I was a Super Hero

If I was a superhero, I would not let anybody know my identity. I would not let anybody know because many people would always depend on me to help everybody. Everybody would have high expectations for me when it comes to someone in danger and if I am not able to save somebody, I would be looked down upon. Another reason why I would not let anybody know my true identity is because since I would be a super hero, everybody would want to be my friend just because I was famous. Many people would also probably use me for their own personal advantage.

Would I Rather Fly or be Invisible

If I had to choose between flying or being invisible, I would choose to be invisible. I would choose this one because I could sneak out and be places without anybody around me knowing. I could also pull pranks on people without them knowing. Another advantage of being invisible is I can do whatever I want and not get caught or in trouble for it. The last advantage is I can ease drop on people without them or anybody else knowing.

Vacation without my Charger😩

One time I went on vacation to Puerto Rico and I forgot my phone charger. I realized this when I got off the plane and my phone was on 20%. I had no clue what to do since I didn't know anybody there. That night, I realized I needed to find somewhere to get one. So the next morning, I went shopping for one and finally found one. So from this expierence, I realized to make sure not to forget anything before I go on vacation. I also learned to check before I left if I'm forgetting anything.

Unfixable Situation.

A time I was stuck in an unfixable situation and tried desperate measures was when I lost my dog. It all started one day in the spring when my dog had to go to the bathroom. I let him outside with the lease and he was pulling and tugging the it a lot. After doing so for a little, the leash slipped out my hand, letting him run freely. I started chasing him and yelling his name but nothing was working. I ended up chasing him 4-5 blocks and it eventually started raining. I was so desperate to get my dog back, I ran in the rain and did not give up trying to get him back. After at least an hour of chasing him, I finally caught him. I walked him back to my house and ever since then, I make sure I hold on to him tightly!
